Planning for Peony

I went ahead and ordered my pattern for the October Peony sewalong.  I’ve noticed that I like to have all my supplies on hand before the sewalong begins so that I’m not waiting for this to arrive in the mail and waiting for that to go on sale at the fabric store,  if I start shopping when the pattern is announced I have everything ready, pattern traced and cut, fabric pre washed and pressed, when the sewalong kicks off!  I have a little more inspiration for October than I usually do.  I want the dress to go with this blazer:

With that in mind I was thinking of using a warm color for my dress and maybe a print that would mix well with the small polka dots.

I’m also going to try for a true wearable muslin this time.  Instead of just throwing something together out of scraps.

The red dots (well, red with white dots) would probably look fantastic on you, but, with what I can see of the jacket sleeve print, the other two might work better. Right off I myself might pick the apples-but you just need to hold them side by side. Good paisley.

Very nice jacket, did you make it?

I’m leaning towards the red dots also! The jacket is from Anthropologie last winter.
